Torva is the capital of Malenia. The city has a population of 170,773, making it the 6th largest city in the country. It goes by the nicknames of "The Second Tirana" because of it's striking resemblance to the Albanian capital city.

The city consists of a highly urbanized mainland and multiple islands off the coast of the country.

History Edit

Torva was founded in 1686 as Qiregatya, a colonist village along the Nile river.

Demographics Edit

The 2009 Citizen's Survey of Malenia noted a population of 170,773.

The population was 68.1% Albanian, 18.8% Dhes or Malen, 3.4% Sudanese, and 9.7% of other races. 44.3% of the city was Atheist, 32.5% of the city was Muslim, 9.6% of the city was Roman Catholic and 13.6% were from another religion.

The median household income in the city was $31,566 (L 2,911,647) and $37,327 (L 3,443,042)  for families. The per capita income for the city was $12,526 (L 1,155,398). 16.5% of the population was below the national poverty line.
